STATE CAPITOL, PHOENIX –  Arizona House Speaker Steve Montenegro today announced changes to the senior leadership team of the House Majority Staff ahead of the Second Regular Session of the 57th Legislature.

Grant Hanna will join the House as Chief of Staff. Grant brings a decade of experience from the Arizona Senate, where he most recently served as Deputy Chief of Staff. In addition to his Deputy role, he advised the Senate Majority on natural resources, water, energy, and government affairs, and previously served as a Senior Policy Advisor and Research Analyst.

Matt Specht has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. As COO, Matt will lead day-to-day functions of the House. With nine years on Majority Staff, Matt has earned a reputation for professionalism, institutional expertise, and the highest standards of public service. He will continue to be a key advisor to the Majority, lead House Floor calendaring, and serve as a resource to all Members and staff.

Linley Wilson will continue to serve as Deputy Chief of Staff and General Counsel. She remains a principal advisor to the Leadership Team and Republican Members and will continue to help shape the caucus’s policy strategy and Majority Plan. As General Counsel, she will also lead Majority Staff support for the Rules Committee and provide legal counsel to Members.

These changes take effect Monday, July 14, 2025.
