STATE CAPITOL, PHOENIX –  Arizona House Republicans today introduced a structurally balanced, law-and-order budget designed to serve Arizona families. The budget package, filed as bills HB2947 through HB2961, focuses on public safety, infrastructure, and protecting taxpayers, and is grounded in the conservative principles of our House Republican Majority Plan.

“This is a sound, disciplined budget that delivers safe communities, strong families, and a government that lives within its means,” said Speaker of the House Steve Montenegro. “We’re raising pay for our state law enforcement officers, reducing tuition at public universities, fully funding school choice, fixing critical infrastructure and roads, and protecting taxpayers. Our budget reins in government and puts it back to work for the people it serves.”

The plan includes:

• A 5% pay raise for DPS and corrections officers.
• $94 million for infrastructure, including I-10 and Highway 347 improvements.
• Reduces tuition by 2.5% at public universities, with a three-year tuition freeze.
• Full ESA funding and a streamlined application backlog.
• Fully funds Parents as Paid Caregivers and developmental disability services.
• An expanded adoption tax deduction.
• Election system funding to keep voter rolls accurate and up to date.
